Yeah, I'm trying to get into this blogging thing again. I mean, after all, I must keep track of the times. As a kid and young adult, I used to keep written journals that I could write a page or two in before bed, but that left too much evidence for my parents to know what I was up to (although it was not much) and also to know my inner thoughts (which, after discovering the internet, I found were much less "special and unique" than I had previously thought).
So a small amount about me. I live in Santa Cruz, CA. I love where I live.
I am 98% car free. I built my life around where I live and what I do.
I love biking and I love learning how to fix and tinker with it. Alternative transportation is SO damn important and I make it a point to practice what I preach.
I love my husband. He is one of the most important people in my life.
I love my daughter. I am already thinking of having a second child in a couple years to complete our family.
My friends are awesome, near and far, online and IRL.
I eat meat, I love people who cook (especially if they cook for me) and I do dishes. :)
I'm a bit of a clean freak, but I'll do the cleaning because I consider it my "thing".
A-line haircut is awesome on me. I don't know if I'll ever do the "long hair to my butt" thing ever again.
I am fat, but in shape. I know, it boggles the mind. The fatness is a combination of genetic predispositin and a genetic disorder called PCOS. I'm working on the disorder with meds and trying to focus on complex carbs over all others, but I'm still eating a piece of cheesecake from time to time, and I am not going to do a weird diet for the rest of my life. I will only make changes that I can foresee as permanent.
I'm a fan of anime, but most of it is stuff you probably never heard of.
So, anyway, that's me. Not special, not unique perhaps, but still me.
I'm looking forward to getting to know me better, too, as long as I can keep up.
